A Call from a Youth Pastor in a Spiritual Battle

I received an e-mail from a youth pastor recently asking if I was Roger, the one talked about in the book by Chad Norris, a Baptist minister. I was not aware of his book but I did remember a visit he and his wife made to our office while we were still in Florida several years ago.

Responding in the affirmative the individual quickly sent in the Center’s intake forms so that he could start counseling. It caused me to wonder what books are out there that we are mentioned in and what Chad Norris had said about his encounter with us. So here are the books I am aware of at this time:

Out of the Ashes — A Forged Faith Journey in Confronting and Overcoming Evil.
By: Hannah S. Brown

Deliverance to Destiny — The Split Child out of Darkness into Light.
By: Sharon Ganz

Signs, Wonders and a Baptist Preacher How Jesus Flipped My World Upside Down.
By: Chad Norris

Mama Janes’ Secret — Walking in Deep Fellowship with Jesus.
By: Chad Norris

As is pointed out in these books,   Jesus is the Wonderful Counselor  and He is amazing when He counsels.

The following are excerpts from the Book “Signs, Wonders and a Baptist Preacher”  by Chad Norris

My problems were not just physical and emotional…I was also going through a season of spiritual warfare…I was learning more about the spiritual realm, and that included the enemy attacks. Among other nightmares, I could sense that our house had a dark presence in it….the spiritual  battle seemed to have no answers. I did not know of a single church that I could go to for help. Can you imagine walking up to a pastor and saying, “Pastor, a presence of evil is living in our house. Could you come take a look?”  Me, either.

But then something happened for Wendy and me that changed everything. In a random encounter at an event at which I was speaking, I met a woman who gave me her dad’s business card. He was a counselor in Titusville, Florida, and he understood spiritual attacks. So Wendy and I drove nine hours to seek Roger’s help. Desperation, as I said earlier, does not seem to move God, but it sure will move a person.

When we arrived at Roger’s office, I was on the edge of sliding out of touch with reality. I had loved Jesus most of my life, but I could not explain why I was going through what I was going through, I was scared.

I kept thinking, How pathetic is it that I have to drive all of this way to meet with someone because I can’t   figure out what is going on with me? I had had some rough spots with Jesus but this was one of the      toughest.

Roger welcomes my wife (who was now eight months pregnant) and me into his office. He then explained that he was going to invite Jesus to help us during the next three hours. I know, novel concept. We prayed through various things in my past that I told him about, and then it happened. Roger was leading me in a prayer, when out of nowhere Jesus walked up to me in a vision and said, “I’m your Healer; trust me.”

This was not an impression or a mental image; I was seeing Him. I had never heard of anything like this before. Jesus was about 5-foot-11 and 180 pounds. He had light brown hair, a light beard and wore a white tunic. Angels stood on either side of Him.

…continued

One of them had a huge sword and the other did not….As He looked at me, His eyes pierced through me with violent gentleness. It was overpowering. It is a waste of time to try to describe what His love was like. I simply cannot.

But what I am telling you is true. I saw Jesus that day. If you want to chuck this book in the trash, I understand. I have always been skeptical when people write about things like this. Yet, it happened.

And it was not only that I saw Him; Jesus came to me and held me close. I have never felt love like that in my life. I hit the floor. My wife, alarmed, asked, “What happened?” It was a while before I could speak.

If at this point you think I was crazy, I understand. I thought I was crazy, too. But it happened. I have been reluctant to talk about that day too much because I thought  people would find it hard to believe. I never want to come across as an idiot. So I decided it was best to keep my mouth shut about the encounter. I was not at a worship service. I was not caught up in some glory cloud. I was a conservative type of guy with a health problem. I was a Baptist to the core who secretly never wanted to walk out on the waters of anything that would draw attention.

Yet in that one moment, everything changed in me. I cannot tell you how many times I prayed to Jesus: “Wreck me with who You are. I want all of You. Show me who You are.” I know I never expected Jesus to answer those prayers of mine like that. Yet Jesus Christ of Nazareth walked up to me in an open vision. That was way out of my comprehension. I had no paradigm for it.

I have heard many times, “Don’t be so heavenly minded that you are no earthly good.” It might be truer that we are so earthly minded that heaven has a hard time doing much good through us.

I have been asking the Lord to get me to a place in my life where I can live consistently with one ear there and one here. In Roger’s office that day, I discovered that that is the only way to live.

When I saw the Lord, His love knocked me out of my chair. It was not a handshake love. It was a messy, wild, compassionate, deep perfect love. It was the kind of love that makes you not care what anyone else in the world thinks of you. Because of that experience, I can see why the early Christians laughed as Nero burned them at the stake. They had such revelation of the love of God that they did not care even about death. When I say I felt love, it is an understatement. All I could say to Wendy, when I could speak, was, “He is so full of love.”

Ten years later I can still picture Him the way He looked that day. As I mentioned, I have told this story only rarely. A few weeks ago, I was talking about these events from the stage of our church, including the warfare details, and a man got up and took his three kids out of the service. He will probably never come back to our church.

Maybe part of the reason that stories like this are hard to comprehend is that so many individuals have been manipulated in the name of Jesus. Perhaps it is also because people know Jesus from a historical standpoint rather than as a present-tense Savior.

To Jesus be All Glory!

Celebrating 23 Years of World Wide Christian Counseling Ministry

23 years ago this month the Center for Christian Counseling began operating in Huron, South Dakota. Since that time we have moved the ministry office to Florida then to our current location in Dallas, Georgia. In those 23 years, thanks to the Lord Jesus who is our wonderful  counselor, and to you our prayer and financial partners who have played a vital role in the Center’s success, we have ministered in 19 countries (Dubai, Cameroon, N. Vietnam, Astonia, Canada, Venezuela, Brazil, Chili,  Cuba, Dominican Republic, Hungary, Belgium, England, Australia, Italy, New Zealand, Panama, Haiti,) and 25 states as shown in the maps above. Thank you all for your continuing prayer and financial support, you are a blessing.

The Book Written by a Former Counselee Detailing her Experiences During Four Years of Counseling here at the Center is Complete and Published

The book is titled “Deliverance to Destiny—The Split Child Out of Darkness into Light.” by: Sharon Ganz. It has been published through Lulu and contains 159 pages and will be available online & bookstores shortly.

In my forward I wrote: “This book is ALL ABOUT JESUS and is important as it delves into the darkness of Satanic Ritual Abuse and biblical brokenheartedness… Many events described in the following pages may be difficult to accept, even though they are      happening all over our country, whether we choose to believe the reality or not.”

During the counseling we all interacted together, the author, her alternate personalities, and the Lord Jesus, The Wonderful Counselor. I considered myself as a facilitator as Jesus worked step by step through the counseling to bring healing and complete integration with the interactions of Jesus well documented throughout the book. Believe it!  It happened!

On a Personal Note

Diane and I are doing well and staying busy.

September was a busy month. We began the month with a weeklong visit from daughter Melissa and    granddaughter Madelyn from Dayton, Ohio. We had a great time.

Then over Labor Day weekend daughter Julie was visiting and as they were getting ready to leave to  return home to Talladega, Alabama, being the “great” father that I am, I decided to take her car up to the service station to get it filled with gas. Well, let’s just say that I customized one of those boxy mail trucks. Yep, had an accident, but it was not major and she was able to drive to Talladega later that day after the police and I had a little discussion. And, he was nice enough to give me a little piece of paper.

On the 11th we drove out to Talladega to attend a High School football game Jackson was playing in.

During September I had the privilege of preaching three Sundays at our home church, Legacy Baptist in Dallas, Georgia. We are without a pastor but have just called one last week who should be beginning his ministry here by the first Sunday in November.

Last night we went to great-grand-daughter Payton’s birthday party. We have been blessed with living to see three generations of offspring.

Diane and I are both enjoying the cooler weather after a hot summer.

In the past month we have had our computer crash and our printer die here at the office. We want to say a special thanks to one of our partners who gave a large donation to cover much of the cost of the new computer. What would we do without all of our partners that God has provided.

Following is a Sampling of the E-mails We have received in the Last Few Weeks from Counselees

  • “He’s a different boy today. Happy, still bouncy, but his    attitude is so much better. Thank you so much for helping us!”
  • “Thank you so much for your time and help. It took me months to find someone who is a Christian who could offer wisdom, guidance, and help according to God’s Word. I feel comfortable and thankful knowing Jesus is working in the midst!.”
  • “I am writing to share about integration today, it is           monumental to me. I am especially finding so much joy in how excited the alternate personalities were to see each other . And it was a “weird” wholesome and washing     experience.”

Our Local Office is Now Open Once Again for Counselees in our Area

Due to the pandemic our office at Legacy Baptist Church here in Dallas Georgia was closed since early March but we have recently began seeing area counselees there once again. Since most of our counseling is national and international we remained busy during the pandemic at our home office utilizing SKYPE.

Caution! Our Children are being Exposed to Dangers at Every Turn

Parents and caregivers beware! It is almost unprecedented the dangers our children are facing today at every turn. With our children armed with smart phones, the internet is an open door to evils never before available at a moments notice to them. The occult and pornography are destructive to them. Children are involved in sexual activities at a very young age. Know who you are leaving your child with to babysit, the dangers are unbelievable. To that end we offer a seminar titled “Children in Danger” to help educate parents etc. as to the dangers they face. Shocking but true information. For more information on scheduling a seminar for your church or group call us at 321-269-0404.

National & Int’l Counseling in the Past Seven Weeks Has Increased

The map above shows the 11 states, along with      England, in which we completed counseling sessions during the last seven weeks for a total of 119 counseling sessions during the period, an increase of 15 from the previous seven weeks Thanks again    prayer & financial partners for making this  possible.

Did You Know we are an Approved Academic Institution with the National Christian Counselors Association

That’s right! For some 25 years we have been training individuals offering courses and programs in Christian Counseling leading to licensing (not a certificate)     recognized nationally as well as degrees, Bachelor’s through Ph.D.’s in Clinical Christian Psychology, through several seminaries and colleges.

On a Personal Note

Diane and I are doing well and staying busy. I turned 75 on June 2nd and thankful the Lord is allowing me to have  health and a clear mind in order to keep serving in ministry.

A couple weeks ago Amy came for a weekend visit from Ohio and we were so  happy to be able to spend some time with her. We are expecting Amy to return yet this summer for a couple days with Zoe. Dennis, Angela, and Melissa are also planning on coming down for weekend visits in late July and August.    Always good to see children, grand’s and greats.

I had the privilege of preaching the AM service at Bemiston Baptist Church in Talladega, Alabama this past Sunday as our daughter Julie and family were on vacation. Kory is pastor of the church.

Diane is planning on going to visit with Julie a couple days this week and having some fun with Kye.

First of August I will be preaching a couple Sunday AM services at our home church, Legacy Baptist, here in   Dallas, GA. I always look forward to preaching on Sunday morning.

There are a few unspoken medical issues within our family at this time that Diane and I would ask that you pray with us about.

We pray that all our friends, prayer partners and financial partners are safe and healthy. God bless you all.

Thanks Prayer and Financial      Partners for Your Continuing        Support

Prayer partners we ask for your continued prayers as we deal with some difficult situations.

With many still out of work additional counselees are unable to pay for counseling at this time and we are even more in need and appreciative of our partners. Thanks again to all our prayer and financial partners and may the Lord receive all honor and glory.

Following is a Sampling of the Calls and E-mails We have received in the Last Few Weeks

  • A telephone call from Germany asking for assistance in dealing with a demonization issue.
  • “I have been seeking out a Christian counselor who specializes in Dissociative Identity Disorders. (What the bible calls “brokenheartedness” when the soul splits due to     extreme trauma) I currently live in Kentucky and there are not any resources for this that I can find. I’m willing to travel out of state if necessary and prefer a Christian.”
  • From a Christian counselor in Georgia “I would really like my client to meet with you for help in dealing with an evil spirit if you would be willing to do that. The other alternative might be to train her pastors at the United Methodist Church she attends on how to deal with an evil spirit. They want to help but don’t know how.

A Book Written by a Former Counselee and Detailing Her Experiences and Counseling Sessions here at the Center has been completed

The book is titled: “Deliverance to Destiny” – The Split Child out of Darkness into Light“ Proof copies have been printed by the publisher as a step to final approval by the author. This book is all about Jesus and is important as it delves into the darkness of Satanic Ritual Abuse and biblical brokenheartedness. Many of the events described in the book may be difficult to accept, even though they are happening all over our country, whether we choose to believe the reality or not. The reader may question whether what happened to the author in this book is common or rare. Let me say it is not uncommon and is happening all over our country. We will  let you know when the book is published.

Our Local Office Remains Closed

Due to the pandemic our office at Legacy Baptist Church here in Dallas remains closed for now. But we remain busy.

Exorcist? No! … Born-Again Believer? Yes!

Occasionally I am asked if I am an exorcist? I always answer “No! I am a born-again believer with the same authority through Jesus Christ as any other born-again believer.”

The problem is that many of our seminaries and churches do not teach on the subject and therefore there are church members across our nation and around the world who are dealing with the spirit realm but are often hesitant to speak with church leaders  because they are afraid they will not be understood. How sad. Thus the reason we receive calls for help from around the world from Christians who state there is no one in their area who would be able to help them. How sad! Christians should be able to reach out for help from their local church instead of hundreds or thousands of miles.

We are here and ready to do a training event at any church who would like to learn more. For more information or to schedule a spiritual warfare conference at your church call us at 321-269-0404.

Diane and I are starting to venture out some as this virus pandemic  appears to be winding down as are many, many others across our country. We are being cautious and are still using masks etc. I am still working completely out of my office here at the house utilizing SKYPE and FACETIME to counsel individuals.

Last weekend Julie and our two grandchildren, Kye and Jackson, drove in from Alabama and spent two nights with us. Our son-in-law Kory had to preach Sunday morning before coming over. Also on Sunday Gary and Kelly and two of our great-grandchildren came by and we all cooked out together. A good time was had by all.

We are looking forward to Dennis, Amy, Angela,  Melissa and their families coming down during the summer for a visit.

Plans had been made for a visit by a couple of them but when the pandemic began it put a stop to those plans. However, I sent them all a text  several days ago letting them know that the “Boehm lodge was open for summer reservations” and have happily heard a few replies already.

We are looking forward to resuming on site services at the church we attend starting Sunday, June 14th. We have had a couple events in the church parking lot remaining in our cars but miss the socialization and seeing everyone. I am sure many of you feel the same way.

We pray that all our friends, prayer partners and financial partners are safe and healthy. God bless you all.

The Corona Virus Outbreak Changed Plans to Fly to Seattle March 7th

Airline tickets had been purchased for a flight to Seattle Washington in order to lead a church team in dealing with an extremely difficult case involving one of their members and a very strong spirit. Due to the Corona outbreak in the Seattle area the ticket was canceled and we agreed to do the session via SKYPE. So on Saturday, March 7th an  intense eleven hour counseling session was completed. Progress was made but another session will be scheduled as soon as shelter in place restrictions are lifted in the Seattle area. At that time the church’s team will once again assemble and we will continue where we left off in dealing with this spirit.

Former Counselee writes a Book Detailing Her Experiences and Counseling Sessions and Asked that I Proof Read and Write the Forward

I completed proof reading the book and writing the Forward which reads in part:

“This book is ALL ABOUT JESUS and is important as it delves into the darkness of Satanic Ritual Abuse and biblical brokenheartedness…. Many events described in the following pages may be difficult to accept, even though they are happening all over our country, whether we choose to believe the reality or not.

I was privileged to work with the author beginning in November of 2015 with the last counseling session completed in December 2019. During that period we all interacted together, the author, her alternate personalities and the Lord Jesus Christ, the “Wonderful Counselor.” I considered myself as a facilitator as Jesus worked step by step through the counseling to bring the author to full healing and complete integration of the alter personalities…. The interactions of Jesus are well documented throughout the book. Believe it! It happened!

The reader may question whether what happened to the author in this book is common or rare. Let me say it is not uncommon and is happening all over our country…

We will  let you know when the book is published.

National & International Counseling in the Past Seven Weeks

The maps above show the 11 states in which we completed counseling sessions during the last seven weeks. Additionally, we completed counseling sessions in the countries of Panama in Central America and Astonia in North Eastern Europe for a total of 95 counseling sessions during the period. Thanks again prayer & financial partners for making this  possible.

Our Local Office Remains Closed During the Virus Outbreak

Legacy Baptist Church here in Dallas, Georgia has given us a small office in which to meet with local counselees. However, due to the Corona Virus outbreak and the current restrictions, and to protect all involved, we are only seeing individuals via SKYPE at our office here at home. This has not affected our ability to counsel and in fact we remain busy.

On a Personal Note

Diane and I are staying at home during this virus pandemic as are many, many others across our country. I am working completely out of my office here at the house utilizing SKYPE to counsel individuals.

Last week we were without the internet for three days but finally got a broken underground line replaced and are up and running again. Prior to coming to the house the A.T.&T. technician called and asked a number of questions required by A.T.&T. concerning the Corona virus. Was I feeling well? Had I been diagnosed with the virus? Had I been out of the country recently? Etc. I told him I had not and asked him if he had a mask and if not I would give him one. He then stated they have not been given masks and would not wear one. I stated my concern at which point he stated I could reschedule the appointment after the pandemic is over if I wanted. I had him come but felt A.T.&T. was concerned about the safety of their employees in having them ask the questions but had no concern for their customers. I wasn’t impressed to say the least.

On March 11th I was scheduled to go up to the local hospital for an MRI. I was to premedicate due to allergies that I have and did as directed. On the way to the hospital I started feeling bad and when I was called into the imaging area for the MRI, the nurse asked how I was doing and I told her I was not feeling well. I immediately got a free ride to the emergency room in a wheelchair, the MRI never took place, and instead I spent three hours in the emergency room before being sent home. The problem was the premedication which was to protect me from having a problem. Hmm!!??

We are looking forward to spring now where we can get out in the yard a bit. Diane is starting on making the yard look nice. With being sheltered-in-place I have a few “honey do’s” that I finished but still have a couple to-do’s to-go 🙂

We are missing interaction at church and with our children due to distancing, although Gary and Kelly did come over one night last week and we sat outside, away from each other, and enjoyed visiting for a couple hours.

Prayer partners we ask for your continued prayers as we deal with some difficult situations. With many out of work some are unable to pay for counseling at this time and we are even more appreciative of our partners. Thanks again to all our prayer and financial partners and may the Lord receive all honor and glory.
