After 46 Years of Serving the Lord both Nationally and internationally, we feel Lead to Announce our Retirement and Closure of the Center

For the first forty years of my life I didn’t know Jesus as my Savior and made a living as a commercial pilot holding both multi-engine and instrument pilot ratings in general aviation.

Then it happened, in a little country church here in Georgia. One Sunday morning Diane and I both came under conviction and trusted Jesus as our Lord and Savior. My life as a pilot ended and my service to my blessed Savior began. Two weeks later I preached my first Sunday morning sermon.

Shortly afterward, I was ministering in the local jail and the Atlanta Fulton Co. Jail. Following that, I pastored churches in Alabama, Missouri, Minnesota, South Dakota, and Florida. During that time, I went to Seminary and completed six degrees which included three doctorates in Theology and Christian Counseling. Diane and I have spent the last forty years of our lives attempting to faithfully serve the Lord worldwide. I have ministered and preached in the countries of Haiti, Cameroon, West Africa, and Cuba. As a licensed Christian Counselor through the National Christian Counselors Association, we opened the Center for Christian Counseling and counseled individuals in twenty-six states and twenty countries on six continents through video technology.

The Lord has been truly amazing in counseling sessions and I have also witnessed instant healing by Him in the last forty years of ministry. Two examples of His mighty power and healing from a medical and dental trip to Haiti were an older woman who came in with AFib and after dealing with some spiritual issues the doctors were unable to find any signs of AFib. The second was a teenage girl who had been unable to speak her entire life. When she left, she was quoting Psalm and Proverbs, which her family had read to her many times, and her family and friends left singing and praising Jesus for his mighty work in her life. Jesus is the Great Healer, Great Physician and Wonderful Counselor. On June 2nd, I will turn 81 and my health is not what it once was. I have slowed down. So I feel the time has come.

PERSONAL UPDATE

This week, Roger faced a critical medical decision at the hospital

This is Julie, his youngest daughter, finishing up this letter at his request. Dad has been battling an illness over the last several weeks. On Tuesday, May 26th, dad was admitted to the hospital with double pneumonia. Upon his arrival at the hospital, the lung doctor told my parents that it was imminent he be put on a ventilator face the likelihood of death.

By the grace of God, they chose to try a bi-pap first and were able to get his breathing regulated while they administered high doses of antibiotics and steroids. As I finish writing what dad started last week, we are home, however, dad is extremely weak.

We all are sincerely grateful for the love and support, whether through prayer or financial contributions that you have provided throughout the years. If it were not for each of you being faithful to the part God called you to play in my parents’ ministry, it would not have been possible.

I ask that you continue to keep my dad and mom in your prayers during this next phase of their lives. We know that the Lord is good in everything and that His mercies endure forever for those that love and trust in Him. While we don’t know exactly what the future on this earth holds, we know who our Redeemer is and we know that He holds us in hand.

To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under heaven.
Ecclesiastes 3:1

With much love and appreciation,

Since our Inception in 1997

We have been mainly a Christian Counseling ministry working with individuals and families across the world from 20 countries both in the office and via ZOOM and internet technology. Individuals have flown in from as far away as Cameroon, West Africa and Vietnam. Here in the U.S. they have traveled from as far as New York and California and 25 other states. We have dealt mainly with demonization issues and biblical brokenheartedness (known in the secular arena as Dissociative Identity Disorder or multiple personalities.) However, I will soon be 81 years of age and am becoming more involved now in passing what I have learned to others so that they can be a blessing to those struggling with special Counseling and spiritual warfare needs. So I continue to ask those who will, to continue to be prayer and financial partners with us in continuing and passing on this ministry work to others for the glory of the Lord.

Also if you know of someone wanting to be a Christian counselor and earn a Christian License and degree have them contact us.

This Month must be Paster Appreciation
Month in Vietnam

As you may know, in our 29 years of existence we have worked with individuals from 6 continents in 20 countries. One of these countries was Vietnam. About 10 years ago a woman named Hana came to our office in Florida needing counseling for some spiritual warfare issues. Later she ended up in our training program and completed a Masters Degree in Christian Counseling through Cornerstone University, one of six of which we are affiliated as the Center for Christian Counseling is a Certified Academic Institution of the National Christian Counselors Association.

Well, just this week I received the following e-mail from Vietnam which read:

“Good afternoon uncle Roger, how are you and how is your wife doing? Thinking of you on the Pastor Appreciation Month. We are so grateful to know and to learn from you. May the Lord continue bless you and your ministry in His grace and blessings.”

“Uncle” being a sign of respect in some foreign countries.

Thanks to our prayer and financial partners as you helped make Christian counseling a reality, and in some cases helped begin Christian counseling ministries in this and many other countries also.

Thanks to all our Prayer and Financial Partners for your Faithfulness in our time of Trouble

Well I fell again. This time it was in our living room. Our daughter Julie and granddaughter Kye were with Diane and myself when it happened. Julie and Kye picked me up off the floor and on ward to the ER we went. I have been on blood thinners so my skin was fragile and so lost skin on my arms and had a black eye. Right now to help with healing I am seeing a doctor at the wound care clinic in Cartersville, GA about 30 miles from our home usually once a week with a home health nurse coming to the house two times weekly in order to change the bandages and treat the wounds on both arms. Diane helps me in soooo many ways and is truly a help mate any man would be blessed and proud to have as his wife, as am I.

Needless to say this is causing a continued problem with ministry work. I cannot counsel as many individuals as I desire nor can have the time and effort in the training of individuals wanting to, and desiring to be a blessing to others as we also desire to be. For the first time in three weeks, due to my injuries which have hindered me from going to church, we are finally planning to go to church tomorrow morning. I am unable to drive so Diane is the chauffer for us.

I am trying desperately to get back to ministry work, counseling, and assisting pastors as thy deal with spiritual warfare issues, and as a clinical supervisor for those who are working on seminary courses in counseling and need a clinical supervisor to continue. So please, if you know anyone who I can help, then please don’t hesitate to point them in my direction and I will do what I can. And for someone desiring to be a Christian counselor but not knowing how to get started, have them call me. Thanks to all for your prayers and help.

I thank my God every time I remember you. In all my prayers for all of you, I always pray with joy because of your partnership in the gospel from the first day until now, being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.

We are Beginning our 29th Year of National and International Ministry
Thanks to You, Our Prayer and Financial Partners.

Last week was a fresh start in the ministry work.

Having spent two weeks in the hospital and two months at home recovering from pneumonia and RSV, I have resumed counseling of individuals and training of Pastors and those wanting to pursue being Counselors. Some Pastors and Christian Counselors, after going through training with myself are then licensed by the National Christian Counselors Association as Christian Counselors. So, the ministry here at the Center, in addition to counseling, is preparing others to be a blessing to many seeking help…

Again, Thanks Prayer and Financial Partners for making this vital ministry possible.

We will begin with sessions on Spiritual Warfare and the believer’s victory, followed by sessions on biblical brokenheartedness. It is known in the Bible as brokenheartedness and in the secular arena as Dissociative Identity Disorder, and the believer’s healing is guaranteed through Christ who does the healing. He is the wonderful counselor who heals the individual. But we are His assistants working by His side as He heals the soul bringing peace to an individual who had developed alternate personalities through severe trauma usually inflicted in childhood.

Thanks to all our Prayer and Financial Partners for your Faithfulness in our time of Trouble

Diane and I would like to thank all of our prayer and financial partners for your faithfulness to the ministry as we went through several months of illness and recovery. I went through a couple weeks of hospitalization in December with pneumonia ;and RSV, being released from the Wellstar Hospital in Hiram, Georgia; on December 23rd to begin a recovery period that ended a week ago allowing me to start counseling once again starting last week. For the first couple months after hospital discharge I found myself coughing profusely every time I would start talking ;which made life very difficult. Time, medicine, and prayers finally cleared up the problem and now it’s time to get back to work and move forward again, Please keep us and the Center’s ministry in your prayers and finances. And thank you so very much again for your faithfulness too.

I thank my God every time I remember you. In all my prayers for all of you, I always pray with joy because of your partnership in the gospel from the first day until now, being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.

Attention Financial Partners

If you have made a donation to the Center in 2025 there should be a receipt letter in this envelope in addition to this newsletter. Please look carefully over the amount of donations to ensure correctness. If you find any donation missing or there is no receipt for tax purposes at all, then please call us at 321-269-0404 as soon as possible so that we can make the correction and send you an updated receipt for your taxes. And again, thank you so much for your continued partnership with this ministry.

The last six weeks have been very difficult and we have been very limited in the ministry work. I found myself spending nearly two weeks in the hospital suffering from a combination of pneumonia and RSV. RSV is a common respiratory virus that can lead to severe illness in infants and older adults, of which I am one. I have been dealing with a lung disease and so this RSV virus took a toll. I am home now still recovering and have been told it could be another 3 weeks before I am fully recovered, Right now when I talk I begin to cough almost uncontrollably which limits my ability to counsel others.

I was released from the hospital on Christmas eve with an oxygen machine and a tank for use if necessary. Never had a need for oxygen in the past. In fact I don’t need supplemental oxygen during the day now.

My counselees and my students have been very patient during this period, and I should be able to move forward within the next couple weeks, when I stop coughing and I am totally back to normal. Prayer partners, please continue to remember me and Diane in prayer. Diane has been such a tremendous help and has been by my side through all of this as well as the girls. When I was in the hospital our daughter Julie, came in from Alabama and would rotate nights with Diane so she could come home and get some rest. Then after returning home, for the first couple weeks Amy and Angela came in from Ohio and helped around the house. For a couple weeks in early December prior to the hospitalization, I worked with counselees and training pastors and counselors around the country.

Thanks to the Prayer & Financial Support of our Partners in Ministry In the last Six Weeks we have Scheduled 31 Counseling Sessions in 9 states and…

Worked on Training 8 Pastors & Counselors in 6 States

As I stated in the last newsletter, the Bible teaches that Jesus died to heal the brokenhearted as well as to pay the penalty for our sins, and to set the captives free, So, once again I ask, why do churches not address brokenhearted ness and setting the captives free?

Well, for one thing our seminaries are not teaching on the subjects. Having completed six seminary degrees, including three doctorates, I have yet to experience the first course on either brokenheartedness or setting captives free, (from evil spirt activity in an individual’s soul).

Biblical Brokenheartedness

On November 23rd I received this e-mail from a believer stating the following: “I have been through counseling for approximately thirty-five years! Too long with a diagnosis of DID. I am still struggling with trauma during early childhood, Do you have any openings? Can you help me?”

Thirty-five years? Could she have gone to her pastor for help? Hopefully so, but probably not because sadly she was misdiagnosed with a secular diagnosis of Dissociative Identity Disorder, which is a common misdiagnosis for Biblical Brokenheartedness, and unfortunately the pastor probably had no training on the subject, didn’t understand brokenheartedness and has never preached or taught on the subject which is thought to exist in approximately 18% of the population. Thus, the need for training on the subject.

Setting the Captives Free

When a born-again, blood-bought believer in Jesus Christ is dealing with spirit activity in their life many times they see an “exorcist” when, in reality, every believer has authority against evil spirits once an evil spirit is identified in a believers life. Unfortunately, it is not addressed in many churches today.

Through the years that we have been in ministry here at the Center it has become VERY clear that there is a need to train in these areas having had Christians in 27 states and 19 countries throughout the world contact us and in some instances fly in to our office for help. So training and the ability for a pastor or Christian counselor to have a place to call if they need guidance in these areas is very needful.

Therefore, in addition to counseling, we have begun training in order to expand the overall knowledge in these areas. In January we will be conducting approximately one hour training sessions on Thursday evenings at 7:00 eastern via ZOOM. There will be no charge to tune into these sessions but we will need anyone planning on attending to send the information listed on the back of this page to us via mail or e-mail. We will then send you final info and ZOOM info.

Counseling

As indicated in the map on the first page we counseled 31 sessions in 9 states during the last six weeks in addition to the training. These sessions were all with born-again Christians dealing with brokenheartedness resulting for the most part from early childhood trauma, and in some cases from demonic activity in their lives resulting from either past sins or curses passed down from previous generations. Because of you we were able to help them.

Greetings from Roger & Diane

In celebrating the Thanksgiving season, we were blessed with 19 family and friends in our home on Thanksgiving Day. Special thanks go out to Julie and our son-in-law Kory for preparing and cooking the entire meal including the turkey. Their efforts were such a blessing, and they did not allow Diane to enter the kitchen while final preparations were made. Their desire was just to have her relax and enjoy the day.

And we also continue to be blessed by the generous giving of our financial partners and the many prayers of our praying partners. I cannot adequately tell you what a blessing and help you are in the continued ministry and how our Heavenly Father hears and answers your prayers. We are so grateful for all of you. Thank you.

During our daily prayer time we thank the Lord for every penny that we receive from you, because we know that it was the Lord who laid it on your heart to send the finances and prayers and so we pray that He will help you with whatever your needs may be.

God bless you all,
