Thanks to the Prayer & Financial Support of our Partners in Ministry In the last Six Weeks we have Scheduled 31 Counseling Sessions in 9 states and…

Worked on Training 8 Pastors & Counselors in 6 States

As I stated in the last newsletter, the Bible teaches that Jesus died to heal the brokenhearted as well as to pay the penalty for our sins, and to set the captives free, So, once again I ask, why do churches not address brokenhearted ness and setting the captives free?

Well, for one thing our seminaries are not teaching on the subjects. Having completed six seminary degrees, including three doctorates, I have yet to experience the first course on either brokenheartedness or setting captives free, (from evil spirt activity in an individual’s soul).

Biblical Brokenheartedness

On November 23rd I received this e-mail from a believer stating the following: “I have been through counseling for approximately thirty-five years! Too long with a diagnosis of DID. I am still struggling with trauma during early childhood, Do you have any openings? Can you help me?”

Thirty-five years? Could she have gone to her pastor for help? Hopefully so, but probably not because sadly she was misdiagnosed with a secular diagnosis of Dissociative Identity Disorder, which is a common misdiagnosis for Biblical Brokenheartedness, and unfortunately the pastor probably had no training on the subject, didn’t understand brokenheartedness and has never preached or taught on the subject which is thought to exist in approximately 18% of the population. Thus, the need for training on the subject.

Setting the Captives Free

When a born-again, blood-bought believer in Jesus Christ is dealing with spirit activity in their life many times they see an “exorcist” when, in reality, every believer has authority against evil spirits once an evil spirit is identified in a believers life. Unfortunately, it is not addressed in many churches today.

Through the years that we have been in ministry here at the Center it has become VERY clear that there is a need to train in these areas having had Christians in 27 states and 19 countries throughout the world contact us and in some instances fly in to our office for help. So training and the ability for a pastor or Christian counselor to have a place to call if they need guidance in these areas is very needful.

Therefore, in addition to counseling, we have begun training in order to expand the overall knowledge in these areas. In January we will be conducting approximately one hour training sessions on Thursday evenings at 7:00 eastern via ZOOM. There will be no charge to tune into these sessions but we will need anyone planning on attending to send the information listed on the back of this page to us via mail or e-mail. We will then send you final info and ZOOM info.

Counseling

As indicated in the map on the first page we counseled 31 sessions in 9 states during the last six weeks in addition to the training. These sessions were all with born-again Christians dealing with brokenheartedness resulting for the most part from early childhood trauma, and in some cases from demonic activity in their lives resulting from either past sins or curses passed down from previous generations. Because of you we were able to help them.

Greetings from Roger & Diane

In celebrating the Thanksgiving season, we were blessed with 19 family and friends in our home on Thanksgiving Day. Special thanks go out to Julie and our son-in-law Kory for preparing and cooking the entire meal including the turkey. Their efforts were such a blessing, and they did not allow Diane to enter the kitchen while final preparations were made. Their desire was just to have her relax and enjoy the day.

And we also continue to be blessed by the generous giving of our financial partners and the many prayers of our praying partners. I cannot adequately tell you what a blessing and help you are in the continued ministry and how our Heavenly Father hears and answers your prayers. We are so grateful for all of you. Thank you.

During our daily prayer time we thank the Lord for every penny that we receive from you, because we know that it was the Lord who laid it on your heart to send the finances and prayers and so we pray that He will help you with whatever your needs may be.

God bless you all,

Thanks to the Prayer & Financial Support of our Partners in Ministry – we have worked with those Suffering from Biblical Brokenheartedness in 27 states and 19 countries on 6 continents, but I often ask myself, “Why?”

The Bible states that Jesus died to heal the brokenhearted as well as to pay the penalty for our sins and to set the captives free. So why do churches not address this issue? It’s estimated that around 18% of the population is suffering from brokenheartedness and yet so many believe it’s “Susie’s boyfriend left her and she’s brokenhearted.” Not so. Brokenheartedness comes from extreme trauma usually in early childhood and is usually misdiagnosed by the secular community as Dissociative Identity Disorder or as Bi-Polar Disorder. And so, I wonder, why have I worked with Christians around the world who seek Christian counseling and to find complete healing from biblical brokenhearted ness through our Lord Jesus, when their church at times may be just next door or a couple miles from their home? The answer may be that there is so much confusion, and seminaries are not teaching on the subject, so pastors do not understand the correct meaning of the term or how to utilize the Lord Jesus in finding healing for an individual.

I am currently 80 years old, and I feel the Lord is showing me that the time I have left before I meet my blessed Savor would be best spent training others how to partner with the Lord Jesus as He literally heals those suffering from brokenheartedness.

So, I have written a book titled, “Multiples Made Whole: Jesus Heals the Brokenhearted”, which explains brokenheartedness (splitting of the soul, the heart of man), along with basic steps to achieve healing through our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. After all He is the Wonderful Counselor.

My desire is to see the book in the hands of pastors, Christian counselors, and other individuals and church leaders who desire to cooperate with our Lord in bringing about complete healing of those suffering from brokenheartedness. The book has been published and is available for purchase through the bookstore of our website, CenterForChristianCounseling.org and may I Suggest you purchase one for yourself and possibly one for your pastor or other believer who desires to help others.

Additionally, I am desiring to teach short term events on this subject to churches and other small groups. As an example, I have taught on ZOOM on a Wednesday evening at a church in Australia. Via video technology I can both teach and answer questions. I also plan to teach on the subject via ZOOM occasionally on one or two Thursday evenings and if anyone is interested, they can send an email to drrogerboehm@gmail.com to be placed on a list when a training event is scheduled. There will be no charge for such events.

For those pastors, counselors, and other Christians who are learning about biblical brokenheartedness I plan to be available to answer questions and to assist as needed.

I continue to be available to those individuals I have helped work through and assisted as our blessed Lord brought healing as well as others who have sought help in the past.

That is my basic plan as the Center moves forward.

Greetings from Roger & Diane

And a great big “Thank You” from all our prayer and financial partners. We do appreciate all you do as we move forward in serving our blessed Lord.

As you can see from this newsletter, we are refocusing our efforts toward helping individuals suffering from biblical brokenheartedness and both individuals and churches who need guidance with spiritual warfare issues. We are not ignoring those we have worked with and our door is aways open to them but there is so much misunderstanding among individuals and churches concerning these subjects that helping to train others and churches and pastors in these subjects is vital in helping others, Health wise there are some issues and I have gone from a cane to a walker for stability as I battle some lung and foot issues. Diane is in fairly good health and I am blessed.

So, the focus with the Center is now to prepare and teach others about the subjects that have been a major focus of the Center for years. We covet your continued partnership as we move forward in serving the Lord and serving others. God bless you for your partnership.

Book on the Demonic in the Process
I am beginning a new book which will probably be called “Understanding the Spiritual Battles Churches & Individuals Face.”

It will include how demonization occurs; the sins of a believer that can open the door to Demonization; generational curses, why and how they exist; and how to be set free from both generational curses and the demonization itself. Additionally, there will be a section relating to how spiritual battles effect the local church, and how to find victory. An e-mail I received recently is typical of the spiritual battles churches face:

“Got a question for you…or a situation, I guess. Finally got my deacons to admit at Monday’s meeting that there is an old “power” at work in this church. Not human. Best this Baptist boy can describe Eph.6 principality, power and ruler of darkness.

Manifests itself in power struggles and a need to be in control. Not just the normal human pettiness but turning friends against each other. Definitely all about “control.” It’s been run this way since the 1980’s. We need to call it out and break this power if this church is ever going to move forward, It is deeply entrenched. So, I ask that you please help us.”

God bless you all,

In the Past Six Weeks 56 Counseling Sessions were Scheduled in 9 States

Major Changes Coming in the Ministry Work of the Center

Over the past several months I have experienced health issues which have affected my ability to keep the counseling pace I had kept for some 28 years here at the Center. I have had to reduce significantly the number of counseling sessions and other activities. At this time, I am not taking on any new counselees and in fact plan on ending the counseling part of the Center ministry work at the end of the year.

So what lies ahead

Plans right now are to remain active with the Center but to concentrate mainly on the training end of ministry.

  • Continue to be a resource when pastors, Christian counselors, and others have questions relating to counseling problems, spiritual warfare, biblical brokenheartedness, etc.
  • Continue with our Christian counselor training program.
  • which leads to a national license as a Christian Counselor as well as a bachelors, masters, or doctoral degree in Christian Counseling.
  • Do short term teaching events as requested by churches and other groups, i.e. small groups who may want a better understanding of spiritual warfare, prayer groups etc. As an example I have taught on spiritual warfare via ZOOM on a Wednesday evening at a Church in Australia. Via video technology I can both teach and answer questions.
  • Currently I have 22 books which I have authored on various theological subjects including the latest book on biblical brokenheartedesss and how Jesus Himself brings the individual to wholeness. I intend on continuing to author books.

As the counseling appointments part of this ministry cease the end of December, We are asking you, our prayer and financial partners to please continue to pray for the work of the Center and, if our blessed Lord lays it on your heart to continue helping financially, or if He guides you to stop and use your funds elsewhere, just be obedient to whatever He guides you to do, God is good and somehow He always comes through in ways we never thought could happen.

We want to thank all our prayer and financial partners for your faithfulness and generosity through the years. You have all been such a blessing to us and the minis try work. We daily praise our blessed Lord as we know it’s all because of Him.

To God be the Glory for His blessings in ways that are beyond our comprehension. And thank you partners for all you have done for this ministry through the years

My Latest Book on Biblical Brokenheartedness, how it’s Identified and how Healing Comes through Jesus, is now Published and Available in the Book Section of the Center’s Website

Biblical brokenheartedness (brokenness of soul) is not “Susie’s boyfriend left her, and she is brokenhearted.” It is a dissociative method of coping with and surviving devastating trauma. Under the trauma of severe abuse of a child, an alter personality is created to be the victim of the abuse, to encapsulate the abuse experiences and to protect the birth person from it through amnesia. Broken heartedness does not arise from a childhood spanking. It takes extended abuse or extreme trauma to bring about brokenheartedness or the splitting of the soul (mind, emotions, will, and affections).

Once splitting of the soul has successfully occurred as a protective system and the first alter personalities are created to deal with the terror of abuse, it may be utilized as a means to deal with less severe trauma. The result may be a wide range of personalities of widely varying kinds. There may be alter personalities of both genders within the same host, and of widely varying ages. Some may age normally or perhaps even more quickly than normal. Many will stay at the age in which the trauma and brokenness occurred. Protector alters may be developed to cope.

Thanks prayer and financial partners for your continued prayers and generosity. Every cent that is received for the operation of the Center we daily praise our blessed Lord for, as we know it’s all because of Him.
To God be the Glory in ways that are beyond our comprehension.

And thank you partners.

God bless you all,

In the Past Six Weeks Counseling Sessions
were Scheduled in Ten States

But…

15 of the 74 scheduled counseling sessions had to be cancelled.

Why…

As many of you may already know, I have been moving about on a knee scooter due to an open wound on the bottom of my right foot. A couple weeks ago moving on concrete a wheel hit a rock and I took a fall. I fell on top of the knee scooter and Diane fell on top of me. Result was one cracked rib on my left side and two broke fingers, one on each of Diane’s hands. We were taken to the hospital ER in an ambulance and x-rayed from head to toe with no head injuries or other broken bones indicated. Lots of cuts and abrasions and, with my right foot problem and both of Diane’s hands suffering a broken finger, we have been unable to drive. She has had surgery on one finger and has since been released to be able to drive, but I am still going to a wound doctor for the foot and hope to be completely healed soon and able to drive again.

Result…

I had to cancel 15 sessions since I was not sleeping well at night due to pain for about two weeks. Couldn’t lay down in bed and had to sleep on a recliner and then during the day had doctor appointments. Thankfully our adult children took turns coming in from out of state and helped with cooking, driving, etc. We were also truly blessed as our church was willing to help out with any needs we might have. We received meals, and one church member came over and watered Diane’s flowers a couple nights. God is good and without His protection the results could have been much worse. With fewer counseling appointments and more outgo financially, it has cost us. However, God is good and somehow, He always comes through in ways we never thought could happen.

Thanks prayer and financial partners for your continued prayers and generosity. Every cent that is received for the operation of the Center we daily praise our blessed Lord for, as we know it’s all because of Him.

Greetings from Roger and Diane

Wow, what a weekend I just experienced as 26 friends, relatives, children, and grandchildren from as far away as Ohio, came to help me celebrate my 80th birthday on Sunday, May 25th at our home.

It was a week early as my birthday is actually June 2nd, but that made no difference to me as Diane, and I felt so blessed having them all come to town. Some stayed at our home over the weekend, but due to lack of space one family stayed at a B & B here in the Dallas, Georgia area.

While they were here over the weekend they helped fix a few things around the house and even plant and replant some flowers in our yard. I have been limited to what I can do around the house as I have ongoing foot problems and am on a knee scooter while seeing a wound specialist every week.

I am expecting to be back on both feet in a couple weeks at which time I will be able to drive and do other things around the house again.

Diane has been my chauffer again lately while the right foot heals. I also refer to her as my “home health nurse,” since she has the “joy” of changing the bandage on my foot on a nightly basis. Thank you, Diane, you’re a very special wife.

I am still counseling from my office at home and as you can see from the front of this newsletter, staying busy with writing, etc.

Prayer and financial partners we do appreciate all you do and ask for your continued partnership with us.

God bless you all,
