“God is so Good, He’s so Good to Us”

As we said in our last newsletter, 2019 has been a difficult year financially for a number of reasons, not the least of which is that some of our faithful supporters have been struggling themselves financially this year. Another important reason continues to be that once again in the last seven weeks we have scheduled 83 appointments and of those only 35 were able to pay all or part of their appointments. Meaning that 42% of those receiving counseling were unable to pay anything. We  never refuse counseling services due to inability to pay relying heavily on our partners in ministry.

We ask that you please pray and ask the Lord for guidance as you continue partnering with us prayerfully and financially, especially during the days ahead as the holidays are  quickly approaching during which counseling drops off meaning income is even less, yet expenses continue.

A Couple Examples of How Your Prayers and Financial Support Help the Hurting

A Counselee Stands in the Cold Dark Night during Counseling in Tartu, Estonia — Recently we received a request for counseling from Estonia, a country in extreme N.E. Europe bordering on Russia. The first session was very interesting. I called this individual via SKYPE at 2:45pm which was 9:45pm in    Estonia. When we connected what I found was a poor   individual in his 30’s bundled up with a coat and cap, standing  in the cold outside the  local town library door in order to use their internet. He stood there shivering for an hour as I evaluated his problem and how we might be able to be of help to him.

A Woman on the West Coast of the U.S. — One of the more extreme counseling situations we have been working with for a quite some time now is a woman in her 50’s who is on disability and living in an older small motor home in the northwest U. S. She is suffering as a result of extreme childhood trauma and living with over 1000 alter personalities. She is unable to pay for the counseling received.

National & International Counseling Last Seven Weeks

During the last seven weeks, since our last newsletter, there have been 83 counseling appointments scheduled covering 11 states across the United States as well as four foreign countries including Belgium, Estonia, the Czech Republic, and Ecuador. Some of these include very complex spiritual issues and as  always, we do appreciate your support for wisdom and discernment.

Just this Morning an E-mail Request from Wellington, New Zealand

As I was completing this newsletter I received an e-mail from a Christian

counselor in Wellington, New Zealand asking for assistance with a counselee of hers who is suffering from Dissociative Identity Disorder (multiple personalities). I will be contacting her today to set up a SKYPE appointment.

On a Personal Note

Diane and I continue to enjoy family. We spent   a couple days out in Talladega, Alabama visiting our youngest daughter Julie and her family. Jackson, who is in the eighth grade is on the Talladega High School senior football team as a kicker. He plays every game and so we went to watch the game on Friday night and, of course, watch him kick points for the team. Needless to say, for him to be playing every game he must be good, and he is. (a grandpa brag).

Gary and Kelly come over for one of Diane’s delicious evening meals every week so we get to spend time and visit with them.

We are looking forward to spending a few days over Thanksgiving together with about 20 children grandchildren and great-grandchildren. It will be a fun time.

The second foot surgery this year, this time on my right foot, has healed well. Early this year it was my left foot that needed additional surgery. The 25 stitches and a pin have been removed but there is still a permanent screw running the length of my big toe. Arthritis and I have a close personal relationship.

It has been extremely hot here in the Atlanta area this fall and we are finally having some seasonal temperatures which we are enjoying. Would love to see the first snow fall, I think!

With Christmas approaching I am once again going to be playing one of the three wise men at the three night “Legacy of Bethlehem” program at Legacy Baptist Church here in Dallas, GA. Somebody said I was going to be one of the three “wise guys.” We will be spending the evening outdoors with a camel (yes a real one) as people are brought by our position and listen to our presentation. I have begun growing my beard so I will fit the character better. Picture to come in January’s newsletter.  Diane will be helping serve indoors. It will be an interesting three nights for both of us.

Help! We Seek Your Prayers and Financial Assistance

We rely heavily on the prayer and financial assistance of our partners in ministry. 2019 has been a difficult year financially for a number of reasons, not the least of which is that some of our faithful supporters are struggling        themselves financially this year. Another important reason is that in the last seven weeks we have scheduled 81 appointments and of those only 55 were able to pay all or part of their appointments. Meaning that 32% of those    receiving counseling were unable to pay anything. We  never refuse counseling services due to inability to pay relying heavily on our partners in ministry.

We have always been very appreciative of all who have helped us to stay financially able to minister through the years and to those who have faithfully prayed for the     Center. We ask that you please pray and ask the Lord for guidance in considering partnering with us financially     during the days ahead as we move forward nationally and internationally in serving the Lord in this vital ministry.

A Counseling Request and Intake Forms Received from Tartu, Estonia

We have received a request for counseling from Estonia, a country in extreme N.E. Europe bordering on Russia. He states: “My situation is similar to the demon possession in Mark chapter 9. I have schizophrenia and alters both. One of the evil spirits is manifesting very strongly and could make me dangerous to others. The spirit is just utterly depraved and insane! I just need help and very soon! I have no money to give you and need to use public wifi places just to get internet. You will most likely say no to me, but could you pray to Jesus and ask him if you should do a session with me for free. And if he should say yes and you should feel peace about it, could you please do one for free?”

We are planning to set up the first appointment for him in about a week and seek your prayers for wisdom, guidance, and a successful outcome of healing for this man.

Counseling Activity During the Last Seven Weeks

There were 81 counseling appointments, including  another individual flown in for concentrated counseling from California, during the  last seven weeks covering 11 states and the country of Belgium. The map shows the states we worked in across our nation during this    period. Some of these were very complex and we do appreciate your prayers for wisdom and discernment.

Another Young Woman Flown in from Huntington Beach, California the End of August

A young woman, who had been the subject of Satanic Ritual Abuse as a  child, flew in along with her mother and grandmother from California for a couple days of

concentrated counseling a couple weeks ago. She is the second counselee to fly in from California seeking help in the last couple months.

On a Personal Note

Diane and I are enjoying family. We have spent several weekends out in Talladega, Alabama visiting our youngest daughter Julie and her family.

We went to grandparents day at Kye’s school. She is in the fifth grade. Then in the evening we attended the Talladega High School football game where Jackson, our 8th grade grandson is on the senior varsity H.S. team as a kicker. Needless to say for an 8th grader to be playing first string on a senior varsity football team he must be a good kicker, which he is.

Our son Gary and Kelly live just 10 minutes from us and so we have them over for supper usually weekly and enjoy the time together.

We are looking forward to seeing the other children and grandchildren later on this year as we approach the holidays since they live further away.

Problems continue with my relationship with osteoarthritis and had to have surgery, this time on my right foot, two days ago. Early this year it was my left foot that needed additional surgery. All went well and I am home preparing this newsletter for mailing.

Tomorrow is our  41st wedding anniversary. I have been blessed to have spent these past years with Diane who has been with me through thick and thin as we have walked through life together. She has been such a blessing to me through the years, hopefully she can say the same about me, and I love her very much. Lord willing I am looking forward to many additional years together.

I am currently teaching a class on Wednesday evening at Legacy Baptist titled: “Exploring into the Believer’s Eternal Future.” What lies ahead for the Christian including what death really means, the Judgment Seat of Christ, the Kingdom Reign, life eternal, etc.

Recent Letters of Inquiry

From a Woman in Need

I was wondering if your center is taking new clients? I am wanting to work through trauma issues. There are differing opinions of whether I do or don’t have DID. Either way, I just want to be healed and whole and actually live in  freedom and not live “disabled.” I have done a lot of ground work in the last year, so I think I am in a good place to start working on it. I was reading how you’ve seen such success and I feel like I’ve been sprinting after freedom and running into a brick wall. It’s so discouraging.”

I let this individual know that we are taking on new clients and have encouraged her to call this week to discuss how we might be able to help.

A Young Woman Flown in From California for Concentrated Counseling

Recently we received the following letter from a mother in California. “I have been looking for a Christian counselor with knowledge of DID to help my adopted 18 year old daughter. She has an aggressive personality that wanted to jump out the windows of our two-story house, jump out of the car on the freeway, and lay on the train tracks…along with major depression, PTSD and 12 trips to the psychiatric hospital…I have had to take a medical leave because it’s not safe for her to be home alone. We are available to come to Georgia so she can be treated. Would you be willing to talk to me about how we can get her some much needed help?”

I spoke to this mother by phone and last week she and her daughter flew from California to Atlanta for a couple days of counseling with us. It was determined that the “aggressive personality” was actually an evil spirit that was trying to destroy her. During the course of counseling we dealt with two very aggressive and strong evil spirits through the Lord Jesus Christ that were generational, along with several less powerful spirits. The mother stated she is so glad to have the evil spirits gone. Just today the mother called and said her daughter is doing well. The plan is for us to continue counseling the young woman via SKYPE in order to address the multiple personality issues and find healing through the Lord Jesus Christ.

Counseling Activity During the Last Six Weeks

There were 63 counseling appointments, including the  individual for concentrated counseling from California, during the last six weeks covering 12 states and the country of Belgium. The map shows the states we worked in across our nation during this period. As you can imagine, some of these are very complex and we do appreciate your prayers for wisdom and discernment while working with these individuals.

Prayer and Financial Partners

Any success and victories we witness during counseling with individuals is in no small part due to your continuing partnership with us. We absolutely could not continue on without your prayers as we seek the Lord’s wisdom as

the wonderful counselor in dealing with many complex situations and spiritual  battles. We also need continuing financial assistance to be able to keep our financial obligations met. So once again we say a hearty “thank you” for all you do.

On a Personal Note

Diane and I are doing well. We continue to be busy with many activities including counseling, family, church, etc.

In the last six weeks I made two additional trips to the Dental College in Augusta. The first to put in another implant and then two weeks later to have it checked. All was OK. I will be going back in September for the impression and then in December to have the cap put on and then I will be finally done receiving the three implants.

I had the opportunity to preach the Sunday AM service at Bemiston Baptist Church in Talladega on the 7th of this month. Since it was Independence Day weekend I chose to preach on our country’s heritage and problems we are facing as a nation.

Then a few weeks ago I was invited to have lunch with a Bible College President who discussed the possibility of my heading up their counseling department. But I do not feel the Lord is leading us in that direction. We feel we are in the center of His will with the counseling ministry.

Two of our good Florida friends, Jim and Pam, visited us for a couple days and it was a great time of fun and fellowship. We hated to see them leave. We laughed so much and so hard. They were sure fun to be with.

Diane has been spending some time out in Talladega helping Julie and family get settled in their new home. I have been driving out when possible to help with painting doors, hanging pictures etc. We have enjoyed watching them get their home set up.

Melissa and her family are visiting from Ohio this weekend for a few days and we look forward to spending time with them. Having moved to Georgia we are now only seven hours  driving time as opposed to the two day trip it use to take.

A Recent Letter From a Mom in a Neighboring State

“My son is having thoughts of self-harm with visions in his mind of himself hung in his closet. He is also hearing voices in his mind telling him to kill myself and my husband. He tells me that these thoughts and visions scare him. I want my son to receive the help and guidance he needs in order to rid his mind of these thoughts and visions.”

Diane and I set up an appointment and drove to a neighboring state to meet with the 12 year old boy and his    mother. During the session there were five evil spirits dealt with. Four of the five stated they were a result of his viewing pornography.

Parents, be aware of what your children are viewing and use app’s on electronics your children use which provide safeguards.

To help educate Christians concerning the spiritual warfare we all find ourselves in, we  do offer a Spiritual Warfare Training Seminar. We will schedule a seminar tailored to your church and schedule for travel expenses,  and a love offering. We do not set an exact amount so that your church, rather large or small, can better afford to receive this vital training.  For more information or to schedule a seminar call the Center at 321-269-0404.

Counseling Activity During the Last Six Weeks

There were 84 counseling appointments during the  last eight weeks covering 14 states and the country of Belgium. The map shows the states we worked in across our nation during this period. Counselees included victims of Satanic Ritual Abuse, childhood sexual, physical and emotional trauma, demonization issues, as well as multiple personality disorders (biblical broken heartedness) including one with over 1000 alternate personalities. As you can imagine, some of these are very complex and we do appreciate your prayers for wisdom and discernment while working with these individuals

Summer is always a Challenging Time Financially for the Center

With the children at home, vacations planned, and many other activities during the summer to occupy time and draw on finances, we find that many counselees slow down with their counseling needs.

Couple this with the fact that approximately 50% of the people we work with are only able to pay a small amount for counseling, with some of those unable to pay nothing. You may ask why this happens?

Many individuals we counsel with are suffering from multiple personalities, due to severe trauma for many  in early childhood. Sexual, emotional, and physical trauma that is almost beyond comprehension. These individuals are often unable to hold down jobs until healing has occurred for them and the alternate personalities. They commonly experience lapses in dependable memory such as what happened today, of well-learned skills such as how to do their jobs, use a computer, read, and at time, even drive. They find perplexing writings or drawings that they must have created but

have no conscious memory of, as well as “coming to” or switching from an alter personality in the midst of doing something. For these and other reasons they are unable to hold down jobs. The Lord does amazing things in bringing about healing and the Bible states he died to heal the broken hearted, and that’s what this is.

We need your help financially especially during this summer period to continue with the work of the Center. If you can help with prayer and finances please give as the Lord directs. All contributions to the Center are tax deductible.

On a Personal Note

Diane and I are doing well. We have been busy with counseling, family, church, etc.

I am still in the midst of completing dental work at the Dental College of Georgia in Augusta. Last month they completed two implants and now I am able to chew better. This Thursday I will be returning to Augusta for them to place the last post after which I will have to wait three months to get the crown which will be the last of the dental work.  I am thankful I decided to go to the    college to have the work done as the intern is great and needs the practice as much as I need the teeth. And best of all its cheaper, my primary reason in going there, even though it’s taking many months to complete the task.

Having moved to Georgia we are close to family. We see son Gary and his wife Kelly on a weekly basis for dinner. Julie lives in Talladega, Alabama which is only about 1:45 driving time away, so we see them fairly often. In fact our granddaughter Kye, Julie’s youngest, is spending the weekend with us.

We recently made two trips to Talladega, one for Kye’s piano recital and the other for Kye’s ballet recital. These are  things we were missing when we lived so far away. We are now only 7 hours from the children in Cincinnati so hope to see them more this summer.

Then we also recently had a 50th birthday party for Gary with friends and relatives over on a Saturday afternoon.

As for this old man, I turned 74 on June 2nd and still remaining very active in the counseling, The Lord has blessed me with a clear mind and I personally see nothing in Scripture that says I can retire as long as I can use the abilities He has given me. So we press on.

What was Accomplished in 2018

Internationally we counseled individuals and families in Belgium, England, Hungary and Victoria Australia.

Additionally, 5 training videos were completed, we passed out information on the Center at a Car Show and in downtown Dallas Georgia on Halloween, and for local counselees we now have office space in which to do counseling.

Requests in the Last Couple Weeks Indicate that 2019 will be Busy Year

Here are a few of the messages we have received:

We live in the United Kingdom and I am looking for a Christian Counselor wo has godly wisdom and insight and is not afraid to “challenge the norm.” I believe that the Lord has directed me to find your contact on the internet. My fiancé’ was diagnosed from childhood with paranoid schizophrenia with behavioral problems, then multiple personality disorder, and now borderline
personality disorder. He has gone through some serious traumas, even from the time he was growing in his mother’s womb…..I have not met anyone (Christian or non-Christian) who even understands what he is going through here in the United Kingdom. Please  contact me as soon as you can.

From the Southeast United States  comes this cry for help. I need your help. Things that have been difficult here and have been strange to say the least. I am feeling horribly attacked by something evil and I don’t feel I can shake it…… Can you help me please.

From Louisiana another cry for help. Hi, I have been having visions (one out of body experience) and what I thought was telepathy (hearing voices and having   conversations with them). I wonder if some could be evil spirits and some fractured parts of my soul. I don’t hear negative voices all day anymore, but I’ll hear them now and then and I could record a few conversations or comments, the content of what gets said if that will help. I feel I need a Christian Counselor.

On a Personal Note

Diane and I are doing well. We had a wonderful Christmas visiting family.  Christmas Eve and day was spent here in Dallas with family. Then on Thursday we traveled to Ohio with our youngest daughter and her two children to visit family there for a couple days. A good time was had by all.  Along with all the festivities all three days I ate a  chili 3 way at a chili parlor (Cincinnati is famous for it’s chili parlors.) It  seems like there is one on every corner.

As an old pilot I had the opportunity to go to Lunken Airport which was my home field for quite a few years when I was flying for a living. Always wanted to fly corporate jets but the Lord had a different plan and I haven’t flown since my call to the ministry in 1978.

Dennis works on corporate jets and so I took our grandson Jackson with me and we put him in the front office of a corporate jet. He said there were too many switches, gauges, instruments and computer screens.

Thanks to those of you who sent some funds to help cover the costs of (3) needed dental implants. We are making trips to the dental college in Augusta GA to have the work done. As I have said its cheaper – I need the implants and they need the practice. I have made several trips and now there is a waiting period to allow healing before I go back in two months to have the impressions made for the teeth themselves. Thanks again for your help and prayers.
